Also, we market on Facebook. Social Networking really doesn't
work. We do it anyway, because it does bring out a few people
here and there. However, we have found that a mailing list
provides better results. We have hundreds of singers that
volunteer to join our mailing list every year. This allows us to send
e-mail directly to their inbox. Our mailing list can be joined in two
ways. First, there are several links throughout our website.
Secondly, there is an area on every one of our karaoke singer sign-
up slips that are filled out at the shows by our singers.
Our song selection is the best? Well, there is no way we can know
this for sure as we have not visited every show. I can tell you
however that singers let us know all the time that they like our
shows because nobody else has the music they like to sing. How
do we do it? We purchase music on a weekly basis. When at
shows, if a song is requested that is not in our library, we add it to
a list. The list is then shopped at the end of the week. If the song
is available for purchase, we have it by the following show.
As far as getting intoxicated on the job or flirting with clients, We
will have drinks and are nice to the clients. I recommend that you
view our weekly shows page and contact the establishments we
currently work for. Ask them if they have ever seen us intoxicated
or crossing the line with anyone. I am confident that you will like

I like to think that the owners can sing. Jodie who is co-owner of
Karaoke Houston is a vocal major in her third year. She specializes
in pop, top 40, and classic rock. James who is also co-owner of
Karaoke Houston specializes in some pop, classic rock as well as
country. Both have won many vocal awards. However, once they
have 10 singers in rotation, they will take themselves out of
rotation. If a request is made for one of them to sing, it will be
considered depending on the size of the rotation.
Equipment consists of JBL speakers, wireless mikes, a FULL SIZE
soundboard and Compuhost karaoke hosting software. Their full
size mixer is capitalized because it allows them to adjust the highs,
mids and lows as well as add compression to the singers vocals in
order to maximise the singers talent. Many karaoke hosts are
using a soundboard that fits in a milk crate. Karaoke Houston is
way to picky about sound to take that ability out of their hands.
Compuhost is in our opinion the best software available. Many
Karaoke Service providers will disagree because they are not
using compuhost. This software is expensive and cannot be
downloaded illegally. It saves the singers history so that they can
be added to rotation the moment the host spots them walk through
the door. Also, This software will play a custom filler tune list
between the singers. Filler tunes are clips of popular songs that
prevent dead air space between each singer. This will keep the
energy level up in your establishment.
Karaoke Houston will always arrive to your establishment in plenty
of time to set-up and complete a sound check prior to start time.
